I have been DJ ing for over 40 years. Starting with hip-hop and the Disco into club into House era around 1975-1981 in the early pioneers days in New York City. My time were watching Shep Pettibone, Jelly Bean, Tony Humphries, Kerri Chandler, Merlin Bob, Timmy Regisford The late Larry Levan, Louie Vega, Kenny Dop Gonzales, Phil Espinosa. The late Eddie Rivera was my mentor. So I grew up around not only hip hop, but I have a lot of Caribbean and Latino influence in my music as well as being deeply rooted into R&B, Soul, Gospel as well as break dance and beats. I was and still am a dancer (so the break dance culture with tap and Jazz has always been my fortay) I am into every culture as far music and master mixing is concerned. I traveled with my music to Europe, Asia, Central America. I also served in the US Army. Right now I do private parties, weddings, events with a business called Mixologist Inc which started in Boston in 2006 with Promoting parties and events with DJ Mike B Switchitup Shotgun and DJ Blindside. I spent some years in Texas doing the same thing. Now I have relocated back to my roots "The East Coast; a New York City native" to the Baltimore/DC area in September 2013.
